Year in brief

For some volunteers starting the relationship tends to be the most daunting part of mentoring and so to ease into the programme HSMP hold Ice-Breaker Sessions during September. These sessions, which are held within the schools, are the first opportunity for mentors to meet their students after the HSMP team have made the matches. The meeting usually involves everyone mingling through an organised activity and then attending a school tour.

It can be quite exciting, and at times chaotic, especially in schools where we have over 70 students volunteering!
