Mentor of the year
Mentor of the Year is an annual award that was established
in HSMP’s first year to recognise the achievements
of an outstanding mentor. The HSMP team each put forward
a nomination and then discuss the merits of these three
nominees and an agreement is made on the person who has
given the best overall performance as a mentor. Mentors
are nominated for their dedication, imagination and commitment,
the overall progress of the student and the number of meetings.

Lisa Brown of Linklaters fully deserves her award
as a mentor of three girls from Skinners School for
Girls in Hackney. Lisa was not only a mentor to the
three girls but she has become a great friend to them
and approached mentoring with a very positive outlook.
This has really helped the girls increase their confidence
and motivation. |
