Mentors Take the Lead

It’s great to see some of our volunteer mentors organising group activities this year. Bonnie at Linklaters is hosting a CV writing session later this month for all the Clapton Girls’ and their mentors. Students will get the chance to focus on the characteristics/skills/attitude that employers are looking for, rather than just the experience section.

And three mentors at Lloyd’s Community Programme have got together to plan a city treasure hunt for all the Year 10 students at Petchey Academy. The Friday afternoon event will involve a walking quiz around the city with a competitive edge.

A couple of groups are also writing articles for their own in house community affairs publications which is great experience and a good way to kick off recruitment for the next batch of enthusiastic volunteer mentors.
